Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 August 2026
These terms apply to the businesses that use JuanService and to the people who message their assistants. Please read them.
JuanService is an AI booking assistant that businesses run over Messenger and Telegram. If you run a business on JuanService, or you message a business’s assistant, these terms apply to you. Be honest, follow the law and the messaging platforms’ rules, and understand the assistant is automated and can make mistakes — a booking is only real once it’s in the business’s calendar.
1.Who we are, and what this covers
JuanService (“JuanService”, “we”, “us”) is a multi-tenant, white-label platform, independently operated from the Philippines by JuanService, that lets a business run a conversational AI assistant which books appointments and stays for its customers over Facebook Messenger and Telegram.
These Terms of Service cover two kinds of people, and both agree to them by using the service:
- Businesses (“tenants”) that create a JuanService account to run an assistant, take bookings, and manage their calendar and customers; and
- End-customers — people who message a business’s assistant to ask questions, book, reschedule or cancel.
Where a term applies to only one group, we say so.
2.Accounts
A business account is for the business and the staff it authorises. Each operator or staff login is for one person; keep credentials secure and don’t share them. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
End-customers don’t create a password with us. When someone first messages a business’s assistant, we automatically create a lightweight customer record (for that business) so the conversation and any bookings can be tracked. Messaging an assistant means you accept these terms and the business’s own policies.
3.Plans, payment and billing
JuanService is sold to businesses as a subscription, in tiers (see our pricing). Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel yourself at any time from your account — see our Refunds & Cancellation policy for how trials, renewals and refunds work.
Two different money flows exist, and it’s important to keep them separate:
- Your JuanService subscription is sold through Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record — Paddle handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes for your subscription.
- Your customers’ booking payments (deposits or downpayments) are handled by a payment gateway the business connects itself, under the business’s own account. Money flows directly between the business and its customer. JuanService never holds, touches or has access to those funds, and any refund of a booking deposit is made by the business through its own gateway. By default, bookings are pay-on-arrival unless a business connects a gateway.
4.The assistant — what it is, and its limits
The assistant is automated software powered by a large language model. It is helpful but not perfect and can make mistakes — misread a request, suggest a wrong time, or misunderstand. Treat its replies as assistance, not a guarantee.
- A booking is only confirmed once it is recorded in the business’s system/calendar and, where the business requires, confirmed by the business. Availability shown is subject to real-time changes.
- The assistant is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Businesses using JuanService in regulated settings are responsible for meeting the rules that apply to them.
- Each business is responsible for how it configures its assistant, the services it offers, the prices and policies it sets, and its relationship with its own customers.
5.Your data and your customers’ data
A business owns its data and its customer relationships. We process personal data on the business’s behalf to run the service. What we collect, why, and who we share it with is described in our Privacy Policy. To generate replies, customer messages and knowledge-base content are sent to our AI provider — the Privacy Policy explains this.
6.Acceptable use
Everyone using JuanService must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. It covers what businesses and end-customers may not do — including unlawful services, spam, impersonation, abusing the assistant, and violating Messenger or Telegram rules.
7.Third-party services
JuanService works with services we don’t control, including Meta (Facebook Messenger), Telegram, Google (Calendar), OpenAI and Paddle (our payment provider). If your business connects its own payment gateway to collect booking payments, that provider’s terms also apply. Your use of these services through JuanService is subject to their own terms and policies, and their availability is outside our control.
8.Availability, and what we don’t promise
We work to keep JuanService available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we don’t warrant the accuracy of AI-generated replies. Messaging platforms may also delay or block delivery for reasons outside our control (for example, a platform’s own messaging-window rules).
9.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, JuanService is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, and if you’re a consumer, your mandatory consumer protections are unaffected.
10.Suspension and termination
A business can stop using JuanService and close its account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, for non-payment, or where required to protect the service, other users or the public. For anything short of serious abuse we’ll normally reach out first. On termination, the parts of these terms that should survive (such as liability and governing law) continue to apply.
11.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We track changes by date, and for material changes we’ll give reasonable notice (for example, in-product or by email to businesses). Continuing to use JuanService after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
